Tanning occurs when the skin produces pigment to protect itself from UV rays. In airbrush tanning, the tanning solution is applied by a licensed technician using a compressor and airbrush.
All Airbrush tanning solutions contain an active ingredient, DHA, that reacts with the outer layer of skin, producing a bronzing effect. Over applying of the solution can create the orange looking color you see some with. That is why an experienced and knowledgeable Airbrush provider should be used. We also apply a PH balance solution prior to airbrushing to avoid any orange coloring of any kind.
Please keep in mind that the pigments resulting from an airbrush tan do not provide UV protection. The maximum generation of color is reached within 12 hours, so the color will continue to darken after the initial application.
